Rhythm plus practical Guidance for Windows
Focus and Break Guidance for Windows
A work-rhythm app that adds practical Guidance to focused work and meaningful rest.
Quick answer
Guided WorkRhythm is a Windows work-rhythm app that combines focus and break scheduling with short, contextual Guidance. During focus periods, Focus Guidance can show low-pressure prompts intended to protect your attention or maintain a steady pace. During rest periods, Rest Guidance can suggest stepping away, moving, stretching, relaxing your eyes, breathing, or simply taking a real pause. The app includes built-in Guidance, and Pro lets you create your own messages and optionally pair them with local personal images. Guidance does not analyze your tasks, detect fatigue, or act as medical advice.
A reminder tells you when. Guidance can suggest what next
A reminder and Guidance serve different purposes. A reminder marks a change in the rhythm; Guidance can add a short, relevant prompt for the current phase.

Focus Guidance
Focus Guidance provides brief prompts related to focused work. The prompts are designed to help protect attention, reduce unnecessary switching, and support a steady pace without turning the timer into productivity pressure.
Guided WorkRhythm includes built-in Focus Guidance. Built-in items can be enabled or disabled, and Pro supports Custom Guidance with your own text and optional local images. Guidance is not generated from task or activity monitoring.
Rest Guidance
Rest Guidance offers calm suggestions for the Rest phase and other recovery-oriented states. A prompt may suggest stepping away, moving, stretching, relaxing your eyes, breathing, drinking water, adjusting your posture, or simply pausing.
These prompts are optional ideas rather than medical advice or exercises with promised health effects. Their purpose is to help a break feel distinct from continued screen work.
Make Guidance more personal
Guided WorkRhythm Pro lets you create Custom Guidance with your own title, description, and Focus or Rest type. You can optionally select a local image, such as a photo of family, a pet, a favorite place, or another scene that has personal meaning.
Custom text, Guidance settings, and selected images are part of the app’s local-first experience and remain on your device for normal use. They do not require a Guided WorkRhythm cloud account.

FAQ
Questions, answered
What is Focus Guidance?
Focus Guidance is a brief, low-pressure prompt associated with the Focus phase. It can encourage you to protect your attention, reduce unnecessary switching, or continue at a steady pace. It does not analyze your task, monitor your activity, or generate real-time AI coaching.
What is Rest Guidance?
Rest Guidance is a short prompt associated with Rest, Pause, and other recovery-oriented states. It may suggest stepping away, moving, stretching, relaxing your eyes, breathing, or taking a quiet pause. The suggestions are optional and are not medical advice.
Is Guided WorkRhythm a Pomodoro timer?
Guided WorkRhythm can use Pomodoro-like durations, including 25/5, but it is designed around configurable morning, afternoon, and evening work periods. Guidance is added to that whole-day rhythm rather than requiring every session to repeat one fixed cycle.
Can I create my own Guidance and add images?
Yes. Guided WorkRhythm Pro lets you create Focus or Rest Custom Guidance with your own text and an optional local image. You can use a personal photo or another meaningful visual cue, and the selected content remains on your device for normal use.
Does Guidance appear during every session?
Guidance follows the current rhythm state and the content you have enabled, so the same Guidance does not necessarily appear in every session. Focus uses Focus Guidance, while rest-oriented states use Rest Guidance. Today content may be prioritized in specific Focus situations, and enabled Guidance can rotate over time.
Can I turn Guidance off?
Yes. Built-in Guidance items can be enabled or disabled, so you control which prompts participate in the Guidance rotation. You can also choose which Custom Guidance content to use where supported.
Does Guided WorkRhythm also have Quiet Mode?
Yes. Quiet Mode temporarily suppresses sounds, Windows completion notifications, and the decision window while the work rhythm continues. It is a temporary interruption-control feature rather than a Pause state.
